This is part one of three articles about Andrea Murphy. Tune in Tuesday, May 1st to read about Andrea and her Diamante.
Andrea Murphy’s name first came into my world at the NCRA TechCon where she was involved in online skills testing hosted by myRealtimeCoach™. A month later, she appeared again when I sought people who adopted the virtual router, Connectify™ for wireless realtime. When I looked for a Diamante® user who had retrofitted the tall vowel key option, Andrea Murphy’s name appeared for the third time. It was clear that the universe was connecting me with Andrea.
Andrea discovered Connectify when she received an email from Stenograph® suggesting it as a reporter-friendly solution. Eager to stop tripping over power plugs and wanting to have one less piece of gear to carry with her, Andrea acted immediately.
She said “I was just getting my Diamante® writer back from the factory-retrofit to add WiFi so the timing was perfect. I took the Diamante out of the box, opened the email from Stenograph to follow the instructions and I was up and running in ten minutes. You couldn’t do anything wrong; it was so easy.”
She elaborated “Connectify was less than half the cost of a router and I don’t have to worry about leaving it behind. It’s also one less piece of equipment I have to troubleshoot when hooking up computers.” Andrea was glad that Connectify has a try before you buy option, because she might not have wanted to spend the money first to find out it wasn’t compatible with her Dell® computer, which can be persnickety.
