Our employees come to work every day with the goal of finding ways to make your work life better, we thought you might enjoy getting to know a few of them. Here’s a Q&A with Lisa Balderstone, Sales Manager.

How long have you been working at Stenograph? Coming up on 31 years.

What is something unique about yourself? My dog (Griffin) and I train and show in Agility. We’re currently learning Rally and plan to show in that arena too. AND, I teach Agility classes at Camp Dogwood twice a year.

Tell us what one thing on your bucket list is. My “side-hustle” is dog training. I teach family dog classes on Saturday mornings. My mission is to light a fire (passion) in my students for dog training; to rescue dogs before they need rescuing; to bring joy to families and improve the quality of their lives. When I retire from Stenograph, it is my plan to do this full-time.

What is your favorite vacation spot? Any secluded, tall-treed, forested, camping/hiking area (where dogs are allowed.)

What is your favorite food? It is a tie between pizza, and ice cream and cherries. But, I eat apples with peanut butter every day; so maybe that’s my favorite.

What is your favorite movie? More like a genre than a specific movie. I love “coming of age stories.” The Outsiders, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Dazed & Confused, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Breakfast Club, Star Wars.
