Well, that’s a wrap on the 2024 NCRA Conference in Louisville! The conference was a wonderful opportunity for us to reaffirm our commitment to stenographers and to showcase our latest technologies. 

NexGen: A New Generation of Writer Technology 

One of the highlights of the conference for Michelle McLaughlin, Stenograph VP of Steno Sales, was the debut of our brand-new writer, NexGen. It was a huge hit with reporters! NexGen is a representation of Stenograph’s continued dedication to harnessing new technology to develop writers that will truly improve the writing experience. Reporters were blown away by its accuracy with the shortest, softest touch ever offered on a stand-alone writer.   

A First-Time Attendee’s Perspective 

For Thaly Palanisamy, Stenograph President, the conference was a particularly memorable experience as a first-time attendee. Meeting members of the steno community and attending key events was educational and inspiring. The premiere session, featuring engaging speeches by Dave and Keith, set the tone for a great conference. 

At Stenograph, we are very appreciative of this community and will continue to invest and support through development of new products and services, as well as supporting the efforts of NCRA, NCRF, and the schools to grow this profession. 

Thaly remarked on the enthusiasm from reporters about the new NexGen writer, a testament to the efforts and hard work of our fantastic team at Stenograph! Thaly is already looking forward to next year’s conference in Minneapolis, where we hope to build on the connections and insights gained this year. 

Fostering Communication and Collaboration 

Mark Kuczora, Stenograph VP of Marketing, reflected on the remarkable spirit of collaboration and open communication that characterized the weekend in Louisville. Participants eagerly shared the challenges they are facing and the opportunities they see with advancing technologies. There was a genuine sense of passion for the success of the industry and the association, which was evident in the honest and kind exchanges between customers and vendors.
