Stenograph believes in the power of sharing knowledge and fostering curiosity. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting 21 enthusiastic interns who visited our site to learn more about our company’s rich history and cutting-edge technology. Here’s a recap of the visit from intern Kyle Mueller. Kyle is majoring in marketing and will be starting his junior year at the University of Iowa this fall.
The Heico Companies, Stenograph’s parent company, is known for its commitment to nurturing young talent through its comprehensive internship program, providing college students with invaluable insights into the business world. Heico brought 21 of its interns on a site visit to learn about one of its standout companies and they couldn’t think of a better choice than Stenograph. Through this visit, I had the unique opportunity to delve into the rich history, innovative processes, and state-of-the-art technology that define Stenograph, gaining firsthand experience and inspiration from a leader in stenographic solutions.
The visit kicked off with a warm welcome and an insightful presentation on the history of Stenograph. We learned about the company’s origins and the evolution of stenographic technology over the years. From the early days of shorthand machines to the current state-of-the-art machines, we gained a deep appreciation for the hard work and innovation that has driven Stenograph’s success.
A key highlight of the visit was a comprehensive site tour, guided by John McInerney, VP of Operations. We explored the modern office and witnessed firsthand the operations and meticulous processes involved in creating the advanced stenographic machines. This tour provided us with a unique glimpse into the behind-the-scenes efforts that ensure the Stenograph products remain at the forefront of the industry.
I am incredibly grateful to the dedicated team members who made this event possible. Special thanks to our panelists Jenny DuPrey, Alex Cotteleer, Lisa Balderstone, Josh Barrera, and Richard Poterack for sharing their expertise and experiences with us. Jeanette Horn’s live demo showcased the practical applications of the technology, adding an interactive element to the visit. Jill Edwards played a crucial role in coordinating the event ensuring everything ran smoothly.
The event was a testament to the collaborative spirit and commitment of the Stenograph Team. By opening their doors and sharing their story, they inspired the next generation of innovators and leaders.
