Cindi Lynch and Pam Szczecinski share their NCRA Conference experience.

After what felt like a lifetime of virtual meetings, we finally had our first in-person conference!  The Stenograph team was eager to travel to Las Vegas for the 2021 NCRA Conference & Expo.  We were excited to have customers try out the Luminex II, learn more about the Ascend Training community, see how YesLaw provides smooth transcript capabilities, demo the upcoming features of CATalyst 21.5, and meet APEX, our intelligent ecosystem connecting agencies to reporters through CATalyst. Read about Cindi Lynch and Pam Szczecinski’s experiences at the conference.

Cindi Lynch, Training Program Manager

After 16 months of training remotely via Zoom, it was gratifying to stand before a standing room only crowd of reporters at the NCRA Annual Conference and conduct an all-day CATalyst class. As CATalyst is a mature software with a lot of features that have evolved and changed over the years, there are a lot of features that many users have overlooked that could be helping them translate more accurately, produce more pages per hour and spend less time in front of their computers. I took this opportunity to review the CATalyst features and enhancements introduced from its inception all the way through the current version, 21.03. The day was packed with information, and I believe everyone walked away with a few more tools in their bag, and an agenda for what to learn next!

During the following two days, it was exciting to have the opportunity to see old friends, meet so many current students and introduce all of them to Ascend Training by Stenograph: a resource that is making a huge differences in comfort, confidence, and productivity. I enjoyed showing off the many benefits Ascend can offer: dozens of video webinars with their accompanying time-referenced content guides, the schedule of upcoming Live Q & A sessions, the articles, tips, polls, and community conversations that are making such a huge difference for hundreds of reporters using Stenograph products.

Pam Szczecinski, Customer Success Manager

It was great to be back at this year’s NCRA convention.  Seeing everyone in person again brought a certain energy that just isn’t the same in a remote environment.

Both reporters and agency owners showed a lot of interest in our new APEX product and I enjoyed the opportunity to explain the benefits and convenience that APEX will offer agencies plus what CATalyst will offer reporters. It was fun to see eyes open and jaws drop when they realized they’ll be able to take care of every aspect of a job from one place: their scheduling, notifications about updated job info, maintaining a calendar, handling transcript delivery, worksheets, etc. all from CATalyst – that’s going to make life so much easier, save a ton of time and enable everyone to be more profitable! Best of all, it was wonderful to see so many students attending and their enthusiasm to learn more about the profession. I appreciate everyone taking the time to stop by say hi, ask questions and give feedback.

We thank everyone that stopped by the booth to catch up with us.  It was great to see you in person!  We’re looking forward to more in-person events.
