Stenograph Bluetooth Application takes the place of BlueSoleil and shows our commitment to optimizing user experience by no longer requiring a StarTech adapter. We are so excited to now deliver Bluetooth to our Luminex users featuring heightened reliability and operational simplicity. Stenograph Bluetooth is also completely compatible with Windows 11, ensuring that you can work seamlessly with the most advanced Windows operating system.
So how can you start using Stenograph Bluetooth? It is easy! Simply go to Stenograph’s website and navigate to “Download” and then select “Utilities & Drivers” from the drop-down menu. There, you’ll find the Stenograph Bluetooth application ready for download.

Helpful Tips:
- Your writer needs to be on the latest software build. Updating is easy! Simply connect your writer to the computer via a USB cable, then visit the Downloads section on the Stenograph website and click on Build #23666. Then, just save the program to your desktop and run the program to update your writer.
- Uninstall BlueSoleil from your computer and disconnect your StarTech dongle. During the setup process, we recommend you disconnect other devices like a docking station or USB Hub. Once your writer finds and pairs with your computer and you can write in realme to your software, you can plug all the other devices back in and use them as you would normally. They only need to be disconnected during the initial setup process.
- Stenograph Bluetooth is Windows 10 and 11 compatible. Stenograph Bluetooth was designed for and will only work if you have upgraded to Windows 10 or 11.
