We recently sat down with Sr. Product Manager, Steno Software, Mansi Soni to talk all about the upcoming CATalyst Version 22 update.  

You announced some of the features of CATalyst Version 22 at STARTech23 in October and have started beta testing. What has been the reaction?  

The reaction at STAR was great and our beta testers love the features they have seen so far! They are using this for remote, hybrid, and in-person jobs and are seeing how easy it is now to record audio in all the different situations. 

Tell me more about what is included in CATalyst Version 22. 

This release is all about audio and I am excited about each one. Direct Audio is our new proprietary solution to address changing market workflows with more remote and hybrid jobs becoming the norm. Additionally, we wanted to improve some existing functionalities like Associate Audio and Break File. You will no longer need to first convert audio file formats before associating or end up with copies of entire audio files when using Break File. I am confident our customers will be as excited about this release as I am! 

How did you decide what features to include in CATalyst Version 22? 

Customer feedback is so important! We are talking to customers every day, listening, and working to understand how we can make their jobs easier. As the needs of the market change, our customers workflows change. By assessing this feedback and addressing changes, we created the feature list for CATalyst 22, which will introduce new tools and enhance existing tools.
